Hygia Pro Cleaners in the Time of COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the general public’s perception of cleanliness. Housekeepers, custodians, and others in the cleaning industry have been more respected for their efforts in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of an environment, whether it be an office, restaurant, or hotel. They are the reason many feel comfortable in these infrastructures. As fellow professional cleaners, we appreciate the recent recognition, as we have always given our all in cleaning and disinfecting for the peace of mind of our clients. In the second quarter of last year, there was a sudden increase in the demand for cleaning and sanitation services in the Metro. We are so fortunate that Cebu City is well supplied with these specialized cleaners who can cope with the demand. We, at Hygia Pro Cleaners, are also grateful for our clients who have trusted our expertise for the past 18 months. 

The 2020 pandemic has taught us to not take the cleanliness of an environment for granted, and to be particular about it to prevent the spread of germs and diseases such as the Coronavirus. What was once overlooked is now the priority of the majority in this time. Now that the economy is slowly going back to normal, we must remember that aside from frequent sanitation and disinfection, we must also follow the government issued health protocols and guidelines. We must continue practicing social distancing, proper hand and respiratory hygiene, as well as wearing face masks. Complacency is not going to help us move forward from this situation.
